Our Inspiring JourneyAtepi River Life Channel of South Sudan Corporation began in response to an emergency. Hundreds of thousands of South Sudanese fled the political repression and violence of civil wars to seek safety and asylum in foreign countries. But once they arrived, they found they were not treated with dignity.
Refugees/Asylum…Those who were offered refuge in a foreign countries did not get the same treatment as the people of the country. Children who were brought by their sponsors given to fosters parents and most of them had been abused and end up homelessness on streets or became drug addiction, alcoholic or married in the earlier ages. Some were forced and deported back to South Sudan and now facing insecurity in their own land with not proper Roads, education, healthcare, food etc. The refugees needed safe-haven. Many churches around the country began giving shelter to South Sudanese in defiance of federal law. A small group gathered united in their determination to fight for justice and legal protection to find South Sudanese seeking safety. Together, they mobilized volunteers from different backgrounds to advocate and support these communities in their search for a better future.
